Are Elstead light fittings high quality?

Are Elstead lighting products suitable for use outdoors?
Whether a lighting product is suitable for use outdoors is dependent on the IP rating of the fitting, IP stands for ‘Ingress Protection’ and measures how well a device is protected from both solid objects and liquids with a rating between IP43 and IP65 being suitable for outdoor use. Elstead prides itself in offering high-quality light fittings to illuminate regardless of the conditions, this is why a majority of their products are rated between IP43 and IP55. The waterproof protection offered by these IP rated products are:
- IP43: Protected from water spray less than 60 degrees from vertical.
- IP44 and IP54: Protected from water spray from any direction.
- IP55: Protected from low pressure water jets from any direction.
