What's the difference between T2, T4, T5 and T8 Tubes?

T2 (7mm Diameter)
The main difference is the diameter of each tube. T2 tubes have a diameter of 7mm and comes in a range of lengths and colour temperatures. Although small in size they pack a punch, they're ideal for lighting areas with limited space. They can be used for cabinet or display light both at home and in retail.

T4 (13mm Diameter)
T4 tubes have a diameter of 13mm. They're compact and easy to install making them perfect for illuminating kitchen counters and worktops as well as under cabinet lighting. These tubes will generally use between six and eight times less energy. This will save you money and help save the environment.

T5 (15mm Diameter)
T5 tubes have a diameter of 16mm. They can be used to illuminate anything from schools to underground railways. They're an ideal choice for illuminating large spaces because they typically last up to 20,000 hours, they also have a low mercury content, limiting environmental impact. T5s have a high quality light output and colour rendering.

T8 (26mm Diameter)
T8 tubes have a diameter of 26mm. They can be used in schools, garages, offices, retails stores and most other environments. They have excellent colour rendering and can last up to 42,000 hours. Versions available now include LED Tube Lights and standard gas filled tubes
