You need to make sure that whichever fly killer you get suits you. There’s no use getting one powered for big commercial kitchens if you only need it for your home. But size isn’t the only thing you need to think about.
Indoor or outdoor?
You might be plagued by flies that keep finding their way into your house, or be planning a big outdoor event. Some only work in one place.
Brightness?
Very bright UV lights aren’t good for humans. Keep very bright fly killers out of bedrooms or anywhere you spend a lot of time.
Chemicals or non-chemicals?
Chemicals increase how effective fly killers can be, but they can be dangerous if you have children or pets.
Electric or glue?
Flies buzz through the UV tubes and are either trapped by glue, which means you have to clean them up, or are killed by a small electric current and fall out of the light straight away.
To remember: The UV lights need replacing every 12 months or so
Mosquitoes won’t be attracted to the light alone; you’ll have to use chemicals to attract them.
