Times Square, New York City
New York is a bustling and vibrant city with so much going on and no trip to the big apple would be complete without a visit to the always illuminated Times Square. The commercial intersection and entertainment district glows all year round with huge billboards, shop fronts and displays. If you want to witness something truly spectacular, visit at New Year when you will be able to see the ball drop, a renowned event in which a large illuminated ball drops to signalise the start of the New Year.
Festival of Lights
This annual festival is held yearly in Berlin and is a stunning example of the beauty and versatility of light. Held during October, the two week long celebration sees artists from around the world flock to this urban German city to decorate some of Berlin’s historical buildings and landmarks, including the Berlin Cathedral, in twinkling arrays of light.

The Eiffel Tower
The city of love is hailed the world over as being a cornerstone of art and culture and its most famous monument is of course the Eiffel tower. The sparkling lights that you see on the structure are superimposed over the golden lighting and are made up of 20,000 light bulbs which bring the landmark to life for five minutes every hour on the hour once the Tower has been lit up until 1 am.
