Osram, Crompton and Kosnic T8 Tubes Land at BLT Direct

In the lead up to nationwide energy standard changes for residential and commercial properties across the UK, leading lighting provider BLT Direct has refreshed its range of T8 tubes to offer landlords and agents even more choice. By 2018, all new commercial landlords will be legally required to upgrade the energy efficient standards of their properties to a minimum Energy Performance Certificate rating of Band E. Furthermore, from April 2018 all residential landlords will be required to comply with new Band E energy efficient housing laws, or risk financial penalties. The new legislation has been hailed by UK Green Building Council John Alker as the “single most significant piece of legislation to affect our existing building stock in a generation.” According to government studies, the new legislations have the potential to save tenants up to £880 a year in utilities bills, as well as slash their CO2 footprint.
