The Business Case For LED Light Bulbs

A big chunk of any business’ operating cost will be taken up by energy bills. The cost of electricity is always fluctuating, meaning that companies are often stuck paying huge sums of money on lighting their properties. Unfortunately people cannot work in the dark, which means there’s no escaping those expensive bills. But there is something you can do to reduce the amount you’re spending. We’ve put together a case for why it can be beneficial for businesses to swap out their lighting for LED light bulbs.

Energy Saving
LEDs are designed in a way that massively reduces the amount of heat produced. Unlike traditional incandescent bulbs, which overheat and burst regularly, the energy produced by LEDs is almost entirely made up of light. This means that they save a huge amount of energy, resulting in lower bills. On average, an LED bulb will use about 1/6 the amount of energy when compared to an incandescent light, which translates into big savings for businesses.

Short Term Cost, Long Term Benefits
If you are a company that owns a lot of properties, then the idea of changing all of the light fixtures can be a daunting concept that will have you clutching your wallet. But before dismissing the idea completely, it’s important to look at the long term economic benefits. LED lights are designed with an average lifespan of around 13 years, based on a full day’s usage. This means there will be less money spent paying electricians and engineers to replace busted bulbs. The one- off cost of replacing your lighting is an investment that could save your business a lot of money and resources in the long run.

More Diverse
Not only are LED light bulbs a lot cheaper and more energy efficient, they are a lot more diverse in terms of where they can be used. Innovations in the Smart Home industry has resulted in an array of new lighting products. LED Light bulbs are able to change colour with the push of a button, which makes them suitable for all sorts of environments. If you’re a shop owner for example, you can use LEDs to create more attractive displays that will catch the eye of more customers. Smart bulbs come in all different shapes and sizes, with different fittings, making them ideal for most spaces. LED light bulbs are an inexpensive way for any business owner to add a touch of class and improve the mood of their establishment.
