Don't energy saving light bulbs give a harsh light?

Thu May 2007

Quick delivery as usual. Straightforward fitting. The bulbs work better than the ones they replaced. They take short while to warm up to full light output, but not bad.

Agree with previous reviewer. Slow to start then great. Answer is mix up your lights with ordinary bulbs for instant light too

Delivery and service very good as usual. Product does what it says on the tin, however it does not state that there is vertually no usefull light for several minutes after switch on. I purchased these for a centre light fitting, if you enter the room when it is dark and switch the lights on you will receive very little light at all. A few minutes later and OK I would say that maximum output takes 12 to 15 minutes. I am aware that all low energy lamps take time to reach max power output, but these are the slowest I have used. Must add once up and running the products works very well, and the saving on your electricity bill is great. My reason for rating at 4 star is only due to the very slow warmup. P Everett
